Dollar Bill Origami Bottle: 8 Step Tutorial

You can use this guide to learn how to fold an easy money origami bottle in 8 steps!

This is a simple and fun tutorial to make a bottle from a dollar bill.

Make this bottle as a special addition to a gift or to give as a cool tip.

Let’s get started!

You just need a dollar bill, and we will start on the backside.

This folding tutorial can be used for larger bills as well.

STEP 1: Fold the dollar lengthwise in half

Start by folding the dollar directly in half lengthwise.

Rub your finger along the edge to make the center crease.

Open the bill up for the next step.

Fold the bottom edge to the center and crease the edge.

Repeat the same type of fold with the top edge to the center.

Flatten and crease every edge well.

Bring the right edge over to meet the left and flatten the middle to make a crease.

Starting on the right open edge, fold it over to the middle edge.

Press everything down nice and flat, then open this flap up for the next step.

After opening the last step, fold the crease that was made to the closed edge.

Once again you will want to crease the edges and press hard to flatten the bill.

On the side that was just folded, start bringing over the right side to the center.

You may need to open up and even out the cone that forms to flatten it evenly.

Repeat the last steps on the opposite side to evenly mirror the other.

Take some time to straighten and press it down once more.

Fold the corners diagonally inward to evenly shape the front of the bottle.

If want to do some more shaping, I folded the bottom of the bottle just a bit.

Now you have a dollar bill origami bottle!
