The Fortnite AR-L, or Assault Rifle – Legendary, is an automatic Nerf blaster based on the Scar weapon from the video game. It is a popular blaster because it is lightweight, easy to use, and looks like one of the most recognizable assault rifles in the game.

Like other battery-powered blasters, this one can be fired by simply holding the button on the grip and then pulling the trigger. The AR-L has both a rear and front flip-up sight and one tactical rail on the top for additional attachments.

Both the stock and the barrel are not removable, which is a bummer, but the gun looks pretty cool just how it is.

The AR-L shoots a little below-average FPS and doesn’t have many customization options, but is still a solid blaster.

The light and compact Nerf Fornite SMG-E is a user-friendly Nerf gun modeled after the Epic Tactical Submachine gun from the game. It is battery-powered and small, its great for younger kids that need an easy-to-handle blaster.

It also has a unique design that makes it look more like a Nerf Zombie Strike blaster than a Fortnite gun. This SMG has two spots where you could attach a sling on the front and back and an access door on top to help you clear a rare jam.

The major downside to the SMG-E is that it offers no way to upgrade or customize it besides swapping the magazine for a bigger N-Strike compatible one.

The Nerf Fortnite BASR-L is one of the best Nerf snipers out now because of its excellent mobility, comfortable ergonomics, and decent fire rate. The BASR-L also made our list of the best nerf blasters of 2024!

Like most of the other Fortnite Nerf blasters, this one is great for younger kids because it’s light and doesn’t shoot too hard, at around 70 FPS.

This blaster has slam-fire, meaning if you hold the trigger, it will fire as fast as you can prime the handle. That means even with the sniper-style design, you aren’t really at a disadvantage in close quarters as you can shoot off your clip quickly.

This dart blaster includes the standard six-round ammo clip that shoots Elite darts and is compatible with most other N-Strike mags. If you want to shoot this Nerf blaster faster, you may want to get the larger 12-round mag to hold all the darts the BASR-L includes.

The included non-magnifying scope works fine for the firing power but can be removed and replaced because of the N-Strike rail on top.

Overall there is not much to complain about with this Nerf gun other than the occasional jam.

The Nerf Fortnite IR is a sleek automatic blaster that is hard-hitting and underrated, in my opinion. Based on the Infantry Rifle from the Fortnite game, this Nerf blaster has a unique look with a slanted tactical rail on top.

It is likely less popular than the AR-L due to the IR being based on a less recognizable gun from the game. This blaster wasn’t really designed to have a scope, but there is room for one on top if you have one.

Both the stock and barrel are attachments that are removable, so you can replace them with others you may have. The IR shoots above the average 70 FPS as is, but can also shoot over 80 FPS with the barrel removed.

I can’t find anything to complain about with the IR other than the slightly wonky barrel that lowers the shooting speed when attached.

The Nerf Fortnite SMG-Zesty, based on the suppressed submachine gun in the game, has the paint job mirroring the Zesty gun camo, or wrap, within Fornite as well. There is something slick about the dark green to light green fade accented with yellow-orange that makes it the best-looking Fortnite Nerf blaster.

Although this Nerf SMG doesn’t have a tactical rail, the removable stock and barrel offer a bit of room for customization as they are both standard N-Strike attachments. This gun is pulled to prime from the top of the gun just behind the front ring sight.

While it shoots a little softer than the average Nerf speed, slam-fire can help increase the fire rate and the fun!

This blaster won’t disappoint with its sleek design and great ergonomic feel for a non-automatic blaster.

The Nerf Fortnite Heavy SR is a huge Mega dart gun that looks like the Heavy Sniper Rifle from the video game. If the Zesty SMG is the best looking, this has to be second best and definitely holds the title for the largest Fornite Nerf blaster.

At 43 inches long, the SR shoots smoothly and is a lot of fun, but it disappoints a bit with its power. The scope fits in well with the blaster and is non-magnifying but removable.

A non-adjustable bipod works to support some of the gun’s weight, and the tactical rails on the top offer room for some customization. This sniper is excellent for someone looking for that extra intimidation factor, but I wish it had a bit more power as a sniper rifle.

The Nerf Fortnite SP-L, based on the suppressed pistol, is a big honker of sidearm that is solid and just smooth all around. It has one of the easiest to load internal magazines that is top-loading and holds three darts.

You prime the SP-L by pulling the top portion back, and this is how you access the internal magazine for loading. The silencer-style barrel is removable but is a solid addition to this big pistol design.

While the sight has no glass or plastic window, it does its job just fine for a Nerf sight. It would be nice to have some better color options, but the only real downside to this pistol is the three-round capacity.

Overall this blaster is the best Fortnite pistol because of its smooth operation and solid design.

The Fortnite Pump SG is a single-shot Mega Nerf dart blaster that is one of my personal favorites. It is very satisfying to fire because it has more of a real shotgun vibe to it.

This blaster is a lot of fun to shoot and play with, even when it’s not loaded with the one dart. It was honestly a close battle between this Pump SG and the Nerf Fortnite Tactical SG for best Fortnite shotgun.

The tactical shotgun holds four darts, but the design is mediocre, and it feels low quality for a higher price.

When choosing one or the other, it really comes down to the ammo capacity or which one looks better to you.

The Nerf Fortnite 6-SH is a hammer action revolver blaster that can be fired with one hand and is deceivingly lightweight. It looks bulky but is light and comfortable, even when firing one-handed.

The six-round rotating drum doesn’t pop out but is quick and easy to front load. Priming the gun is simple with a quick thumb pull on the hammer.

While it is fun to fan the hammer, it doesn’t perform well at all when you do. The one thing that might bug some people is that the barrel is permanent.

In the package, the barrel comes unattached, but when you lock it into place, it is not removable.

If you like revolvers or blasters that can be dual-wielded in general, this is a solid choice for the price. It is on our list of the best Nerf revolvers.

The Nerf Fortnite B-AR, based on the old burst rifle in the game, is an automatic bullpup-style blaster. Its bullpup design, meaning the magazine is located behind the trigger, makes this one of the most unique Nerf guns.

This blaster is automatic, takes 4 C-type batteries, and is very ergonomically comfortable. To fire the BA-R, you rev it up with the small trigger and fire with the main one.

The main bummer for Nerfers who like to customize their Nerf toys is that all the attachments are permanently fixed. On top of the scope, the tactical rail is the only place you can attach something but is a bad place to have anything.

Overall if you want a smooth-firing automatic Nerf shooter that’s different, the B-AR won’t disappoint.

ROCKET LAUNCHER

What you see is pretty much what you get with the Nerf Fortnite RL. This intimidating bad boy is single fire but includes two of the snazzy purple rockets.

The two flip-up sights seem unnecessary, but they are good quality and add to the absurdity of the blaster’s powerful feel. Sadly you will have to imagine the destruction as it only shoots as hard as you pump it.

Nevertheless, the rocket launcher can be a ton of fun to have in a Nerf war.

GRENADE LAUNCHER

The Nerf Fortnite GL, based on the grenade launcher from the game, is sweet but sadly not that powerful. This launcher features no trigger just like the RL, and the rockets are front-loaded into the drum.

To fire the rockets, you pull back on the vertical grip, and then the ammo drum rotates when you push the grip back forward. This heavy weapon holds six rockets but only launches them at about 40 FPS due to the pump firing system.

The other negatives are that the grenade launcher is pricier than the RL, and requires a good amount of assembly out of the box.

However, the GL is still a good time and makes you feel like you are winning because you are freaking firing rockets!

If neither one of the heavy weapons catch your eye but you are looking for something different, Nerf grenades are a ton of fun. You can load them up with darts and pretend you’re tossing them in Fortnite.
