Hi Cheri, This toy vehicle takes one 9.6 Volt Lithium Ion Battery (it's a green battery pack), and two AA size batteries go in the wireless remote controller. All of these batteries are included with toy.

How many and what kind of batteries does this toy take?

The battery comes with an approximate 75% charge from the factory. We do however, suggest charging and testing the toy prior to gifting, that way if for some reason an exchange of product or help from Customer Service can be made prior to end of season when toys are scarce. Kind regards, ~J

This is a great toy! The 1st one they sent us didn't work, it happens. But the 2nd one they sent us works great. My 11 yr old grandson plays with it every day! We live in the boonies, so we needed something that could handle different terrains and it does. He loves that you can actually shoot with it. It doesn't shoot nerf style stuff, but plastic balls, but boy does it shoot. Perfect birthday gift since the little guy had to cancel his party and all. I do recommend this toy.

This Blaster toy is such a cool toy! It's control operated, bright orange and black, and moves pretty fast. I like that the balls are little foam balls, so it wont hurt too bad if you are shot with one, it does sting a bit depending on how far away you are. It shoots decent as well. The balls are bright orange so they are easy to find, however, I would definitely shot in a controlled area so they dont get lost and picked up by animals or small children. The controller takes 2 AA batteries and you do have to charge the battery on the actual blaster. Overall, it's been fun for us and we enjoy it.

The New Bright Brand Radio Controlled Blaster worked great! My 6yr old son was very excited to get it out of the box and begin playing. It was very easy to control. The controller seems to be made very cheap but has held up to my little guys very well. Its light weight and easy to maneuver. 
I was very surprised with the pressure behind the blaster. It has a laser to show exactly where your shooting also. It's made very well and was a hit here at my home. I highly recommend. Would be a great Birthday/Christmas gift.

Drives and shoots like a tank! This RC compares to no other! Has amazing range. Also uses a rechargeable battery so you can charge it anywhere! A must have

Awesome RC car

I feel like the Demonstration area available for this toy didn't let it show to its full potential, but I can see how my son would have a great time with the Mech RC blaster. Being able to drive what is essentially a tank and shoot the blaster balls up to 90 feet is a pretty good time for an eight-year-old boy.

super fun especially for boys

My 8 year old son loves that tank. It doesn't look that big in the picture but it's way bigger than the picture. Battery stays charge for really long time. I wish the barrel could be controlled by remote control. It says you can manually set it up to 4 settings but it only goes up to 2 settings. Laser is really helpful to find the target. My son says it'll be more enjoyable if the speed is little faster. Overall it's a good toy.

The Mech Trooper Blaster is a wonderful motorized toy. Bright orange and black in color. This toy has a blasting mechanism, shoots out little orange balls. Moves fast. The hand control is easy to use and turns quickly and backs up sharp. The barrel moves up and down to shoot the little orange balls in different directions. Our cat and dog had a lot of fun chasing the Mech Trooper throughout the house. Tired them both out. Children, teens and adults enjoy this product. Would reccomend for purchase and gifts. Hours of fun to be had by humans and animals.
