STEP 1: Fold the bill in half lengthwise

For the letter N, we will start on the back of a one-dollar bill.

Fold the bill directly in half matching the top with the bottom.

Rub the edge of the folded to make a prominent crease and then unfold it.

Starting on the lower half, make two even folds to get to the center crease.

The dashed line shows where the crease will be and the solid line gives an idea of where to fold two.

For the second even fold, simply go to the center crease line.

Fold two more times on the opposite sides to get evenly to the center.

The first fold will go to where it touches the words “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

The second fold goes evenly to the center crease line.

Flip the bill over to the face side for the next step.

Make two diagonal creases on the right side of the bill where shown.

This is done easiest by holding the center and pinching will both hands.

This right side will be pinched together and under the center for a bit.

Flip the bill over for the next step.

On the underside, make two more creases that point inward as shown.

Bend the left side over and underneath the center slightly.

Close up the left and right sections as you shape the N together.

Make adjustments as needed to even things up if they don’t look quite right.
